25 Years of Innovation in Health and Life Sciences

Since its founding in 2001, the Munich Institute of Biomedical Engineering (MIBE) has been connecting disciplines, perspectives, and people to develop innovative solutions for the medical sciences of tomorrow. Originating from the Central Institute of Medical Engineering (ZIMT, Zentralinstitut für Medizintechnik), MIBE has since been a unique symbol of interdisciplinary research and cutting-edge innovations in biomedical engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

We are going to celebrate this special anniversary with former MIBE members, long-standing partners, and distinguished guests from the fields of science and politics. Following the motto “25 Years of Innovation in Health and Life Sciences,” we will honor the past, celebrate the present, and look ahead to the future of biomedical engineering at TUM.

Enjoy an afternoon full of festive moments, inspiring insights into the institute's innovative research areas, and exciting glimpses into its history. The anniversary will also offer the opportunity to discuss the future of biomedical engineering and its impact on health and life sciences. Following the anniversary ceremony, we invite our guests to a festive get-together with live music, opportunities to mingle, and a chance to learn more about our institute.

We are excited to celebrate this special anniversary together with you!
