The talks will be accompanied by meet-the-speaker-sessions, a poster-session, as well as a workshop on the topic “How to stay sane during a doctorate - mental health strategies for you and your surrounding ” taught by Tatjana Reichhart.

Also, networking and teambuilding won't come short - be prepared for some fun and entertaining social program in the evenings.

Workshop: How to stay sane during a doctorate - mental health strategies for you and your surrounding
A doctorate can come with many challenges and to master them good mental health is of high importance. This workshop will provide you fundamental knowledge on mental health, how you can recognize if you or your friends and colleagues are at risk of mental health problems, and how mental health problems can be addressed. The workshop also provides know-how and techniques on becoming more resilient and handling stressful situations and provides time for exchange and self-reflection - doctoral candidates only.

Virtual Escape Game: 
Riddle your way through an exiting 60 minutes online adventure in teams of 4-5 people. But be preapered, you will have to think outside the box and work closely togehter with your teammates - may the best team win! 

Online Game Night: 
Our event space has a lot to offer - meet in our game section and enjoy some fun online games together. How does a tetris-tournament sound? Alternatively you could also just get together with your fellow doctoral candidates in the lounge section and share your experiences from the workshop. 

Virtual Beer Tasting: 
Bavarian beer tradition has more to offer than just "Helles" and "Weißbier". For this about 2 hour beer tasting you will be provided a selection of 5 different beer types in advance and then it's stage on for the two experts from "Hopfen sei Dank" who will guide you through the tasting, providing information on the beers and breweries and fun facts on Bavarian beer that you might not know yet.

If you register for the event, you will receive an email with the invitiation to the eventspace with the required login-data. You will not have to set up a gathertown account. Details on how to access the eventspace will be provided to you via email shortly before the event.
