Abstract: Laser-induced graphene (LIG) can be formed through a simple, scalable, and low-cost process in which a carbon-rich precursor, typically polyimide (PI), is converted into multilayer graphene via laser irradiation. This technique enables a wide range of applications, including flexible conductors and sensors. Since its first demonstration in 2014, LIG-based devices have been extensively developed across various research fields. In this talk, I will first introduce the fundamental formation of LIG and recent advances in enhancing photothermal conversion through the incorporation of nanomaterials. Subsequently, several examples of flexible LIG-based devices integrated with reservoir computing for intelligent sensing and signal analysis will be discussed.
