MIBE Online Seminar: Flexible, Implantable Electrode Arrays for Invasive Neural Recordings

Titel: Flexible, Implantable Electrode Arrays for Invasive Neural Recordings

Sprecher: Fulvia Del Duca, IGSSE doctoral candidate (Wolfrum Group)

Datum und Uhrzeit: Dienstag, 14. Dezember 2021, 13:00 Uhr

Abstract: Neurophysiological recordings are at the basis of investigating neuronal (dys)functions, and usually rely on non-invasive recordings with limited resolution or on the use of stiff silicon probes, where clinical approaches allow intracortical recordings.  Here, we develop thin-film implantable microelectrode arrays with minimal footprint to reduce cortical trauma during insertion, with the aim of highly localized electrical recordings of neuronal activity, and detection of neurochemical signals such as monoamine neuromodulators.
