Abstract:
Magnetic stimulation in general is a method of non-invasive stimulation of neuromuscular tissue. It is considered a painless approach for many neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. This presentation will provide a general overview of magnetic stimulation, how we can benefit from it, and its limitations. The focus will be on stimulation of human peripheral nerves, more specifically the phrenic nerve, which is the driving force of the diaphragm.
