Master Programs

The complexity and magnitude of the challenges faced by modern biology and medicine, associated with growing disease prevalence and an aging society, calls for a paradigm shift to complement the traditional biological and biomedical discovery cultures. Strongly associated with a problem-solving culture, BioEngineering is growing as a key discipline around the world for addressing daunting problems in the Life Sciences area.  BioEngineering is a novel field that applies innovative solutions in areas of biology, biomedical engineering and medicine.

The Technical University of Munich is one of the few technical universities in Germany integrating biology (Wissenschaftszentrum Weihenstephan, WZW), biomedical engineering (Forschungscampus Garching), and medicine (Klinikum rechts der Isar, MRI), and is therefore optimally suited for hosting master programs in the field of BioEngineering.

Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering and Medical Physics:

The master program in Biomedical Engineering and Medical Physics is coordinated at MSB.
The main focus of this interdisciplinary study program is the application of new research-driven natural and engineering principles and findings in both medicine and life sciences.
