IMXP 2022

International Symposium on Medical Applications of X-ray, Phase-contrast and Photon-counting

Renowned speakers and guests reported on the latest advances in imaging technologies and image processing and discussed their biomedical applications at the International Symposium on Medical Applications of X-ray, Phase-contrast and Photon-counting (IMXP 2022). The event took place last week (04.-05.08.2022) at the TUM Institute for Advanced Study (TUM-IAS), an international and interdisciplinary research institute of the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

In the course of two days, fifteen researchers presented their latest scientific findings, covering a large variety of topics in the field of advances in imaging technologies. High-profile keynote lectures were given by Prof. Cynthia McCollough “Photon Counting Detector CT: What We’ve Been Waiting 50 Years For”, Prof. Philippe Douek “Spectral Photon Counting CT : First in human results and perspectives”, and Prof. Franz Pfeiffer “X-ray Phase-Contrast and Dark-Field Imaging”. A poster session complemented the scientific talks. In the evening, the conference dinner in Garching provided further opportunities for scientific discussions and exchange.
